Bulgaria and France to strengthen strategic partnership in Varna

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova is meeting French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot in Varna to discuss deepening the strategic partnership between the two nations.

The discussions will focus on European security, with a specific emphasis on the situation in the Black Sea, alongside other key items on the European and international agendas. During the meeting, the ministers are expected to sign an updated roadmap for the Declaration of Strategic Partnership, which was originally established in 2008.

The updated roadmap aims to enhance bilateral relations in several critical sectors, including trade, investment, security, defense, nuclear energy, science, education, and culture. As part of the visit, the ministers will also visit the Nikola Yonkov Vaptsarov Naval Academy.
