Bulgaria border traffic and road restrictions report

Heavy truck traffic is reported at the Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo border checkpoints exiting Bulgaria toward Turkey. Traffic remains normal at borders with Greece, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Romania.

Due to low water levels on the Danube, ferry services between Oryahovo–Bechet and Svishtov–Zimnicea have been temporarily suspended.

Roadwork and restrictions are in effect at several locations. On route II-99 near Tsarevo, traffic is restricted to a single lane due to bridge dimensions following recent flooding. On route II-53 between Yambol and Sredets, vehicles exceeding 20 tons are prohibited from crossing the bridge over the Sredetska River and must use detours. Additionally, repairs on the Maritsa motorway in the Haskovo region have resulted in single-lane traffic and speed limits near the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint.
