Bulgaria Cabinet Gets 42% Support After First 100 Days, President Ilya Yotov Highly Rated

A national poll conducted by Alpha Research between 17 and 23 July surveyed 1,000 adult citizens. The poll found that 42% of respondents gave a positive assessment of the cabinet’s work in its first 100 days, while 33% expressed a negative view. The prime minister enjoys higher personal trust, with 48% approval versus 31% disapproval.

Key public concerns remain the rise in prices, corruption, health care and road safety, areas where respondents feel government measures are insufficient. President Ilya Yotov received the highest personal rating, with 50% approval and 29% disapproval. The study was released just before Yotov formally announced his presidential candidacy, so the figures reflect confidence in her current role rather than the upcoming campaign. Analysts note that future support for both the cabinet and the president may hinge on the timing of the presidential election slated for 25 October and the administration’s handling of the highlighted issues.
