Bulgaria celebrates DARA’s Eurovision win and Junior Kaisara’s Ludogorets success
A national poll conducted by the sociological agency “Mяра” after the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest shows that 67.2% of Bulgarians feel pride in DARA’s victory, with especially strong support among younger and pro‑European voters. While only 44.1% of respondents identify as fans of the Eurovision music style, overall attitudes toward the singer are positive, indicating broad cultural approval of the historic win.
In parallel, the football career of Brazilian defender Junior Kaisara is highlighted. Kaisara joined Ludogorets in the summer of 2012 for a reported €300,000, becoming a key player in the club’s domestic and European campaigns, including a run to the Europa League last‑16. His later transfer to German side Schalke 04 in 2015 for €4.5 million was deemed a record‑breaking deal for a defender from the Bulgarian league, followed by a move to Turkish club Başakşehir, where he continued to make the most appearances of his career.
