Bulgaria celebrates Unification Day with cultural events

Various locations across Bulgaria are hosting events to commemorate Unification Day on September 6.

The Provadia-Solnitsa archaeological complex has organized a program for all ages, featuring historical tours focused on the region's ancient salt production. Children's activities include creative workshops where they can craft traditional Bulgarian trivegnik using colored salt and participate in a historical adventure mission to learn about the 1885 Unification.

In Bansko, the celebration includes the “Bulgaria – Land of Wonders” spectacle. The event features a grand procession led by bagpipers, traditional dances, and performances by local talents such as the “Bansko Elders.” A highlight of the program is a performance by rock musician Zvezdomir Keremidchiev, who will perform the song “We Are Bulgarians.” The evening also includes the presentation of special awards for the Wonders of Bansko.
