Bulgaria Employment Agency announces October job fair schedule

The Bulgarian Employment Agency has announced a series of job fairs scheduled throughout October to facilitate direct contact between job seekers and businesses. The series begins on October 6 in Petrich, with 27 general job fairs planned across various locations, including Sofia, Kardzhali, Dolna Mitropolia, and Krumovgrad. A specific event for job seekers is also scheduled for October 15 in Plovdiv.

In addition to general fairs, four specialized events will take place: youth-focused fairs in Ruse (October 20) and Varna (October 28), a fair for disadvantaged persons in Silistra (October 22), and a tourism, hotel, and restaurant sector fair in Smolyan at the end of the month.

Recent data from the Employment Agency indicates a 14% increase in job vacancies requested by employers in August compared to the previous month. As of late August, the registered unemployment rate stood at 5.47%, with 155,007 registered unemployed individuals. High demand for personnel is noted in sectors such as education, manufacturing, government, trade, automotive repair, transport, and hospitality.
