Bulgaria enables online voter station verification for presidential elections

Bulgarian citizens eligible to vote in the upcoming presidential and vice-presidential elections can now verify their polling station numbers and locations online or via telephone. This service is provided through the website of the Directorate General Civil Registration and Administrative Services (GD GRAO) or via a toll-free national number, 0800 1 4726.

Preliminary electoral lists are generated by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works based on the National Population Database, which is updated daily with data from municipal administrations. The lists are adjusted to remove deceased individuals. Additionally, citizens have until October 10 to submit electronic applications to vote at their current address through their respective municipalities or the GD GRAO website. Those who successfully apply will be included in the electoral lists for their current address and removed from the lists for their permanent address.
