Bulgaria expands international tourism partnerships

Bulgaria is actively expanding its international tourism partnerships across several sectors. In Armenia, Deputy Minister of Tourism Mariela Modeva discussed deepening cooperation in medical, balneo, and SPA tourism. Key proposals include a joint action program for 2027–2029 and potential charter flights connecting Yerevan with Varna and Burgas.

In a meeting at the UN General Assembly, Bulgarian President Iliana Yotova met with Andorran Prime Minister Xavier Espot Zamora to discuss winter tourism. Bulgaria aims to leverage Andorra’s expertise in developing ski resorts to enhance its own winter sports infrastructure.

Additionally, the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism (BUBSPA) signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Wellness Serbia Cluster. This strategic partnership aims to establish the Bulgarian-Serbian cross-border region as a recognized European destination for health and wellness tourism by sharing expertise and adhering to European quality standards.
