Bulgaria expresses solidarity with Nepal and China after Himalayan floods

Bulgaria has expressed solidarity with Nepal and China following catastrophic flash floods triggered by a glacier collapse in the Himalayas. The disaster, caused by a massive flow of rocks, ice, and mud through river systems, has resulted in approximately 600 deaths in Nepal and Tibet, with over 2,000 people still missing.

Bulgarian President Iliana Yotova and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued statements of condolence to the families of the deceased and offered support to rescue and recovery teams on the ground. The Ministry expressed deep sadness over the loss of life and the extensive destruction of infrastructure.

In response to the crisis, the European Union has mobilized 2 million euros in humanitarian aid to assist those affected by the disaster.
