Bulgaria holds second National Youth Conference to discuss policy reforms

The second National Youth Conference, organized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Youth and Sports, brought together young people aged 15 to 29, state institution representatives, and youth center officials to discuss improvements to national youth policy.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Yulia Todorova emphasized that young people should be active participants in the decision-making processes that affect them, rather than merely being recipients of policy. The conference focused on three primary areas: youth participation, local-level youth policy, and youth work.

Participants worked in groups to review existing policies, identify current challenges, and propose specific actions and measures to create better development opportunities for the youth population.
