Bulgaria launches tenth class of military medical cadets

The tenth anniversary class of 20 military medical cadets has begun training in Bulgaria through a tripartite collaboration between the Military Medical Academy (MMA), the N. I. Vaptsarov Naval Academy, and the Medical University of Varna.

The program provides full state funding, including accommodation, food, clothing, and medical services. Cadets also receive monthly stipends ranging from 460 to 650 euros. Upon graduation, these doctors are guaranteed professional placement within the MMA structures and have opportunities for further career development within NATO member states.

In addition to medical training, the program focuses on developing officer qualities such as discipline, resilience, and leadership. A separate component of this joint initiative is currently training 15 military medical nurses to bolster the defense system's medical personnel.
