Bulgaria launches new tourism initiatives and influencer campaigns
Bulgaria is implementing several initiatives to promote its tourism sector. The Ministry of Tourism is utilizing influencer marketing by hosting bloggers and journalists from various countries, including Spain, Romania, and Italy, to reach potential audiences. Additionally, the Ministry has launched the ‘Moments from Bulgaria’ photography contest, inviting participants to submit images in categories such as ‘People and Traditions’, ‘Places and Heritage’, and ‘Nature and Inspiration’ to be used in national advertising.
On the cultural front, the ‘Flavors of Bulgaria’ culinary festival is set to launch in Burgas on September 5, featuring chefs from Hell’s Kitchen and promoting local gastronomy and traditions. Meanwhile, the Etar Museum in Draynovo will host an international scientific conference organized by the Center for Economic and Historical Research on September 25-26.
In international travel news, Thailand is revising its visa-free entry rules for Bulgarian citizens. Starting September 15, 2026, the initial visa-free stay will be reduced from 60 days to 30 days, though travelers may apply for a one-time 30-day extension through immigration authorities.
