Bulgaria MP Kalin Stoyanov accuses colleagues of leaking classified data

At a parliamentary session, former interior minister and DPS MP Kalin Stoyanov alleged that fellow DPS deputy Ivo Mirchev disclosed classified information during debate on the appointment of a sub‑minister for the National Health Insurance Fund (NZOК). Stoyanov said the source of Mirchev’s knowledge was unclear, called the act a criminal offence, and announced he would file complaints with the prosecutor’s office, the State Agency for National Security (DANS) and the State Commission for Classification of State Secrets (DKSI).

Stoyanov later criticised Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev, accusing him of staging a “show” after Demerdzhiev’s testimony linking DPS leader Delian Peevski to alleged flights and meetings. He demanded the documents used in the hearing, alleged procedural irregularities, and claimed the minister was using his position to target opposition figures.
