Bulgaria presidential election: Yotova and Valchev lead in polls

Polls for the upcoming Bulgarian presidential election indicate that the duo of Iliyana Yotova and Kiril Valchev holds a significant lead. According to data from the Myaura agency, the pair received between 43.4% and 47.3% support in hypothetical voting scenarios.

Andrey Gyurov, a former interim prime minister, is identified as a primary challenger, with support levels reported between 28.9% and 30.6%. Other candidates include Kostadin Kostadinov and Petar Volgin, who hold approximately 10.2% to 10.3% of the vote.

The election, which features 27 candidates, is expected to take place on Sunday, October 25. If no candidate secures more than 50% of the vote with a turnout exceeding 50%, a second round will be held on November 1. Current projections suggest voter turnout may be around 39%.
