RIOSV employees demand transparency in environmental ministry reforms

Labor unions and employees of the Regional Inspectorates of Environment and Water (RIOSV) are demanding transparency regarding reforms within the Ministry of Environment and Water. The Labor Confederation ‘Podkrepa’ and the National Federation ‘Agriculture and Forestry’ have issued an open letter to Minister Rositsa Karamfilova, requesting an urgent meeting as Parliament votes on changes to the Waste Management Act.

While the unions support the need for system optimization and increased efficiency, they insist on active participation in discussions regarding structural changes. Employees have expressed significant anxiety and uncertainty concerning how these reforms will impact their job security, working conditions, and professional duties.
