Politicians from the Constanța region secured several Black Sea beach sectors in a delayed public auction. Deputy Mirela Matichescu, Deputy Daniel Georgescu, Senator Felix Stroe and others obtained parcels ranging from 1,710 m² to over 9,000 m² at prices between 21,362 lei and 508,513 lei.
The Neptun swimming complex in Arad, covering more than 20 hectares near the Mureș River, opened for the 2026 season. The facility offers adult and children pools, a thermal‑water pool, slides, green areas and beaches, with daily tickets priced at 33 lei (reduced 17 lei) and season passes at 880 lei.
In Varna, Bulgaria, health authorities temporarily banned swimming at the popular Ofitserski beach after tests revealed high levels of E. coli and other fecal bacteria, prompting signage and further water quality monitoring.
