Bulgaria to launch unified child protection reporting system
Bulgaria’s Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the State Agency for Child Protection (DAC) will develop a unified information system to centralize reports submitted to state institutions and child protection bodies.
Announced by Minister of Labour and Social Policy Natalia Efremova during the 25th anniversary of the DAC, the new technology aims to track the concentration of signals to identify problematic regions more rapidly. The initiative focuses on improving the prevention of violence and aggression involving or directed at children.
Efremova emphasized the societal responsibility to report incidents rather than remaining silent, stating that every child deserves a protected environment. During the event, Efremova presented a distinction to DAC Executive Director Dr. Teodora Ivanova for her contributions to child rights policies. Other highlighted initiatives include the ‘Be Brave, Be Good’ campaign, the National Child Helpline, and the CyberKidz mobile application.
