Additionally, authorities are investigating a private school and officials within the Ministry of Education and Science for potential non-performance of duties related to student admissions and document issuance between 2022 and 2026.

Criminal psychologist Rosen Yordanov provided a profile of Kalushev, describing him as meeting the criteria of a predatory sexual offender and suggesting his public persona was a facade. Meanwhile, Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev criticized previous administrations for failing to prevent the deaths, emphasizing that the case remains a matter of justice rather than politics. To date, the investigation has involved 40 inspections, 150 witness interrogations, and 95 expertises.
