Bulgarian and Macedonian students win medals at International Olympiad in Informatics

Bulgarian and Macedonian students achieved significant success at the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from August 9 to 16.

Bulgaria secured four medals: one gold, one silver, and two bronze. Andrey Stefanov won the gold medal, becoming only the second Bulgarian to win gold at both the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) and the IOI in the same year. Sava Delev earned silver, while Kiril Zulyamski and Aleksandar Pendov won bronze.

Macedonia also performed strongly, earning one silver and two bronze medals. Damjan Dakov secured silver, marking his fourth total IOI medal and making him the most successful Macedonian participant in the competition's history. Vladimir Grchev and Nikola Stojkovski won bronze, while Viktor Maksimoski received an honorable mention.
