Bulgarian and Serbian students win medals at International Olympiad in Informatics
Students from Bulgaria and Serbia achieved success at the International Olympiad in Informatics held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The competition featured approximately 375 to 400 participants from 97 countries.
The Bulgarian national team earned four medals: one gold, one silver, and two bronze. Andrey Stefanov secured the gold medal, marking his second gold in a single year following his success at the International Mathematical Olympiad in Shanghai. Other Bulgarian medalists included Sava Delev (silver), Kiril Zulyamski (bronze), and Aleksandar Pendov (bronze).
Representing Serbia, three students from the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade won bronze medals. The recipients were Pavle Damjanović, Nikola Šami, and Petar Banović, with Stefan Šebez also participating as a member of the Serbian team.
