Bulgarian Black Sea coast faces potential heavy rainfall warnings

Meteorologists have issued warnings regarding potential convective rainfall along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. While exact locations and intensities remain uncertain, there is an increasing confidence in the development of these weather systems over the coming days.

Convective rainfall poses a risk due to its highly localized and intense nature, which can lead to rapid accumulations of water in small valleys and river basins. Under specific atmospheric conditions, local rainfall could exceed 100 liters per square meter within a 24-hour period.

In the immediate forecast for September 10, the Black Sea region is expected to be mostly sunny with temperatures between 26°C and 28°C. Meanwhile, inland Bulgaria will see temperatures ranging from 28°C to 33°C, with potential short-term rain and thunderstorms developing over the mountains in Western Bulgaria during the afternoon.
