Bulgarian cities host cultural events for Ukraine's Independence Day

Bulgarian cities Burgas and Plovdiv are hosting cultural events to commemorate Ukraine's Independence Day.

In Burgas, a festive concert will be held at the ‘Okhlyuva’ open stage. The program features Ukrainian and Bulgarian songs, instrumental music, and poetry, aimed at showcasing Ukrainian cultural heritage and spirituality. The event includes exhibitions by a children's art studio and a senior citizens' creative association, highlighting the talents and personal stories of the local Ukrainian community. The initiative is supported by the Burgas Municipality and the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Burgas.

Plovdiv is organizing a musical-poetic concert at the ‘Dimitar Georgiev’ Museum Gallery, featuring classical performances by young talents and poetry readings by Ukrainian children. Additionally, a photo exhibition titled ‘In the Footsteps of Mikhailo Parashchuk’ will open in front of the Central Post Office. The exhibition explores the life and work of the prominent Ukrainian sculptor who made significant contributions to Bulgarian art and architecture. These celebrations are supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in Bulgaria, the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Plovdiv, and the ‘Ukraine Support and Renovation’ Foundation.
