Bulgarian citizens share anecdotes regarding the presidency

Bulgarian citizens have shared various perspectives and experiences related to the country's presidency. In a collection of insights from fourth-grade students ahead of presidential elections, children described the role as someone who gives orders, leads the army, protects the country, and resolves state issues. When asked what they would do if they were president, students expressed desires to stop wars, manage waste, and improve society.

Other citizens shared humorous anecdotes resulting from sharing names with former heads of state. One human resources manager named Georgi Parvanov received an official invitation to an event featuring former U.S. President Bill Clinton, intended for the former Bulgarian president. He redirected the invitation to the correct recipient. Additionally, journalist Petar Stoyanov recounted instances of confusion during telephone calls due to his name coinciding with that of the former president.
