Bulgarian deputy Kutev defends stance on Ukraine coalition and domestic reforms

Anton Kutev, a deputy from Progressive Bulgaria, has addressed the Bulgarian government's decision not to join the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ regarding Ukraine. Kutev stated that Bulgaria possesses a distinct profile compared to nations like Poland and the Baltic states, citing shared Orthodox, Slavic, and Cyrillic heritage as factors that influence the country's geopolitical stance.

Kutev also commented on the administration's ongoing efforts to combat oligarchy within the country. He described the struggle as a step-by-step process rather than a single event, noting that the government aims to eliminate oligarchic influence from political power. He expressed confidence in Prime Minister Rumen Radev's integrity and leadership, suggesting that significant changes are expected following the election of the new Supreme Judicial Council and the Prosecutor General.
