Bulgarian family seeks funds for child's medical treatment in Dubai

A Bulgarian family is launching a fundraising campaign to support 6-year-old Ivan, who suffers from PANDAS/PANS, a severe neuropsychiatric condition linked to the immune system. The condition causes sudden behavioral changes, tics, sleep disturbances, and concentration difficulties.

The family has received a medical offer from King’s College Hospital London in Dubai totaling approximately 20,500 euros (84,004.05 AED). This amount covers specific medical procedures, including immunoglobulin therapy (IVIG), MRI scans, lumbar punctures, and specialized testing. However, the parents noted that this figure does not cover the total cost of treatment, as additional expenses for consultations, follow-up therapies, travel, and accommodation in Dubai will be required.
