Bulgarian firefighters hold safety demonstrations for Fire Safety Week

Fire safety services across Bulgaria are conducting various public initiatives as part of Fire Safety Week, which commemorates the professional holiday of firefighters on September 14.

In Lyaskovets, the municipality and the Gorna Oryahovitsa Fire Safety and Population Protection Service organized a demonstration for children and adults. The event featured specialized rescue equipment and practical displays of how teams respond to fires and disasters. Local volunteers from the VT 44-01 formation also participated, emphasizing the importance of safety rules.

In the Plovdiv region, including Plovdiv and Karlovo, the program includes open house days, games, and quizzes for children scheduled through September 20. These activities aim to teach young people how to react during emergencies. Additional events in Plovdiv include demonstrations of individual and collective protective equipment and lectures to increase public awareness of fire safety and rescue operations.
