Bulgarian football clubs sign Joël Zwarts and Kristiyan Malinov

Bulgarian football is seeing the arrival of two professional players seeking to revitalize their careers.

Joël Zwarts, a former Feyenoord talent, has joined Lokomotiv Plovdiv. After a period without a club following stints in Germany with Jahn Regensburg, 1860 München, and VfL Osnabrück, Zwarts accepted the move to the Bulgarian side to increase his market value and secure a new professional path.

Kristiyan Malinov, a Bulgarian midfielder previously known for his time at OH Leuven and KV Kortrijk, has joined Botev Vratsa. Malinov spoke about the mental difficulties he faced during a recent period in Hungary with Debrecen, noting that he moved to the Bulgarian club to support his family despite initial hesitations about returning to his home country.
