Bulgarian Football Union warns Lokomotiv Plovdiv over stadium issues

The Licensing Commission of the Bulgarian Football Union has issued warnings to Lokomotiv Plovdiv 1926 and Spartak 1918 Varna regarding discrepancies in their stadium operations and maintenance.

Lokomotiv Plovdiv faces potential relocation of its home matches to the Georgi Benkovski Stadium in Pazardzhik if it fails to address several issues by October 26, 2026. Identified problems at the Hristo Bonev Stadium include the condition of the grass pitch, insufficient capacity for substitute benches, inadequate organization for visiting fans, safety concerns around the pitch, and the need for a functional scoreboard and timer. The club must also remove construction waste and other potentially hazardous objects from the facility.

Spartak Varna has been ordered to restore the original placement of substitute benches in Sector A, as their current position obstructs advertising routes and coaching staff operations. This requirement must be met before the club's next home match.
