Bulgarian footballer Hristo Spasov dies suddenly at age 38

Bulgarian footballer Hristo Spasov has died suddenly at the age of 38, shortly after completing a match. Spasov, a striker who played for several clubs including Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Botev Vratsa, Heber, and Septemvri Sofia, collapsed in the locker room following a regional league game between Chiko (Byaga) and Lesichovo.

Spasov had scored both goals for his team during the match, which ended in a 4-2 victory. Despite immediate intervention from the match doctor and the arrival of emergency medical services, he could not be saved. Spasov was a well-known goalscorer throughout his career in various levels of Bulgarian football.
