UMBAL St. Georgi announces free medical screenings in Plovdiv

UMBAL St. Georgi in Plovdiv is hosting a series of free medical screenings and consultations from October 28 to 30, 2026, as part of its ‘Health for All’ initiative.

The Dermatology and Venereology Clinic will offer free examinations focused on psoriasis to mark World Psoriasis Day. Specialists will be available from 10:00 to 12:00 at Base 1 on Vasil Aprilev Blvd. Pre-registration via telephone is mandatory for these sessions.

Simultaneously, the Clinic for Radiotherapy will provide free consultations and screenings related to breast cancer awareness. The clinic utilizes advanced technologies, including the CyberKnife robotic stereotactic radiosurgery system, which is noted as the only one of its kind in Southern Bulgaria. The radiotherapy department also employs breathing monitoring techniques (ABC-DIBH) to protect the heart during treatment and infrared thermography to monitor skin toxicity.
