Bulgarian hunting societies celebrate historic anniversaries

Bulgarian hunting and fishing clubs are celebrating significant anniversaries with traditional assemblies.

In Blagoevgrad, the Sokol 1911 Hunting and Fishing Society marked its 115th anniversary. The event, attended by nearly 800 people, included an official ceremony where Metropolitan Seraphim of Nevrokop blessed the society's flags and its new hunting lodge. The celebration featured a hunting shooting competition, equipment exhibitions, and musical performances.

In Veliko Tarnovo, the Sokol 1884 Hunting and Fishing Society is commemorating 142 years of history. The anniversary program includes a hunting shooting competition and a cynological exhibition to showcase hunting dogs. These events serve to preserve regional hunting traditions and prepare members for the upcoming wild boar hunting season.
