Bulgarian institutions host forums on child cybersecurity and online safety
Bulgarian institutions and organizations are holding discussions and forums focused on the digital safety and cybersecurity of children and youth.
In Plovdiv, the Social Assistance Agency (ASP), in collaboration with the Academy of National and Intelligence Security (ANIS), organized a congress titled ‘Digital Expansion and Cybersecurity of the Young Offspring: Responsibilities and Provocations for the Family, Education, and Institutions’. The forum addressed the challenges of protecting children in the digital environment, including coercion and aggressive behavior, and emphasized the need for coordinated approaches between executive, judicial, and local authorities.
Additionally, the Gorno Oryahovo Youth Parliament hosted a discussion coordinated by the Parents Association as part of a European Union-wide series. Led by David Kyoranov, the session focused on online risks such as internet scams, the effectiveness of application safety mechanisms, and the impact of digital platforms on different age groups. The initiative aimed to promote digital literacy, critical thinking, and responsible internet use through dialogue between youth, parents, and specialists.
