Bulgarian karate team heads to World Championships in Poland

The Bulgarian national karate team has departed for the World Championships in Bielsko-Biala, Poland. The delegation includes 22 competitors across cadet, junior, and U21 categories, featuring several European champions and world-ranked athletes.

The Bulgarian National Karate Federation reported that the team is traveling without financial support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. According to the federation, the lack of funding has persisted through previous European championships and training preparations. The federation stated that participation is being made possible solely through the efforts of the federation itself, local clubs, and parents who are self-funding their children's involvement.
