Bulgarian medical expertise suggests Siyana could have been saved

A new complex medical and technical expertise regarding the fatal car accident involving a child named Siyana has raised questions about the emergency medical assistance provided. The findings suggest that, although the chance was minimal, the child could have been saved if different actions had been taken.

Nikolay Popov, the child's father, stated that there were significant lapses in the response following the heavy incident. He noted that when the 112 emergency call was made, Siyana's condition was not classified as an 'A1' high-priority, life-threatening case. This classification allegedly resulted in a 20 to 30-minute delay in the ambulance's arrival.

Popov claimed that during the delay, a doctor who happened to stop by the scene attempted to provide first aid. He further alleged that the medical response was insufficient, noting that the child was not intubated, did not receive blood transfusions, and that wounds were not treated appropriately for severe blood loss. Popov stated his goal is to seek systemic changes to prevent such occurrences.
