Bulgaria prepares logistics for upcoming presidential elections

Preparations are underway for the upcoming presidential elections in Bulgaria. In the Ruse region, 1,808 rolls of specialized paper for machine voting receipts are being delivered under heavy police security to the Regional Administration. In Ruse, 287 out of 329 sections are scheduled for exclusively machine-based voting, while 37 sections with fewer than 300 voters will use paper ballots.

The Central Election Commission has approved the provision of 1,500 tactile templates to assist voters with visual impairments. These templates, produced by the Demax printing house, are intended for use with paper ballots to ensure independent voting for people with disabilities. The templates are expected to be delivered to regional election commissions by October 23.

Additionally, demonstration voting machines have been installed in the foyer of the Stara Zagora Municipality, and election officials in Plovdiv are urging voters to verify their choices before final confirmation.
