Bulgarian Navy recovers multiple drones along Black Sea coast

The Bulgarian Navy has reported the discovery of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drone components along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Within a 24-hour period, signals were received regarding four separate findings near Varna, Pomorie, Tsarevo, and the village of Varvara.

Specific incidents include a drone measuring approximately two by 1.5 meters found on Kabakum beach, which was transported to the Varna Naval Base after inspections confirmed it contained no explosives. In Kamchia, a military drone wing was recovered, also deemed safe. In other instances near Pomorie and south of Varna, military personnel had to destroy the objects on-site to ensure safety. Additionally, an electrical reconnaissance device was located in a rocky cove between Tsarevo and Varvara.

Military officials suggest that northeastern air currents may be carrying these remnants from the Black Sea toward Bulgaria, potentially linking the debris to ongoing combat operations in Ukraine. Investigations into the origin and technical specifications of the recovered equipment are ongoing.
