Bulgarian Navy recovers reconnaissance drone parts from Black Sea coast

Specialized units from the Bulgarian Navy have recovered parts of a reconnaissance drone found along the southern Black Sea coast. The fragments were discovered on beaches in the resort town of Primorsko and near the village of Lozenece.

Following the discovery, military experts conducted inspections to ensure the safety of tourists and maritime traffic. The recovered aircraft and technical components were transported to naval bases in Varna and Burgas for further investigation. The operation was carried out under strict safety protocols following orders from defense leadership to monitor security in the Black Sea maritime basin.

In a related incident involving drone incursions, Bulgarian authorities identified a fallen 'Maja' type decoy drone, manufactured in Ukraine, which exploded near the Kardam border crossing with Romania. While officials noted no casualties or infrastructure damage, the incident has prompted discussions regarding airspace security and the monitoring of unauthorized entries into Bulgarian territory.
