Bulgarian Olympic Committee disputes Stanka Zlateva's claims

The Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) has issued a formal response to claims made by Stanka Zlateva, the president of the Bulgarian Wrestling Federation, regarding her exclusion from a BOC General Assembly held on March 19, 2025.

The BOC stated that Zlateva's claims are untrue, noting that the Mandate Commission made decisions based on information from the Registry Agency. According to the BOC, registry records show Zlateva was only registered as president on March 20, 2025, or the following day, after the assembly had already taken place.

Regarding legal matters, the BOC clarified that Zlateva had authorized attorney Nikolay Dimitrov to represent the Bulgarian Wrestling Federation and granted him the right to withdraw legal claims. Following an electronic request filed by Dimitrov on April 28, 2026, the Sofia City Court terminated the proceedings on April 30, 2026. The BOC characterized Zlateva's statements as a negative campaign and has requested a public apology.
