Bulgarian opposition parties criticize Rumen Radev government after 100 days

Opposition parties in Bulgaria, including GERB and Democratic Bulgaria, have issued sharp criticisms marking the first 100 days of Rumen Radev’s government.

GERB stated that Radev is no longer an alternative to power but is now the power itself, holding full responsibility for the current administration. The party criticized the government for starting with a 5.7% GDP deficit, a lack of a clear management plan until the 100th day, and personnel changes in public administration that they characterized as mere replacements rather than meaningful reforms. They also questioned the government's ability to control prices and noted inconsistencies in foreign policy.

Democratic Bulgaria (DB) similarly described the period as one of managing a failing model rather than implementing real change. DB accused the cabinet of prioritizing debt and taxes over modernization and dismantling the oligarchic model. They further alleged that the government has failed to meet its promises regarding price stability and is instead fostering social division.
