Bulgarian players criticize former coach after Nations League win
Bulgarian midfielder Adrian Kraev has criticized the performance of the national team under former coach Aleksandar Dimitrov. Speaking after a 2-0 victory over Luxembourg, Kraev stated that during the first two matches of the Nations League, the team lacked a clear tactical plan and appeared to rely solely on physical aggression rather than structured play.
Kraev noted that the team's recent performance has improved under interim coach Atanas Ribarski. He credited the new coaching staff with bringing fresh ideas, better analysis, and improved energy to the squad. Team captain Iliya Gruev also expressed pride in the team's progress, noting that while the recent win provides a ‘breath of air,’ the squad still needs to build confidence and a consistent identity through steady growth.
