Bulgarian police launch 24-hour hotlines for election monitoring

The Bulgarian Ministry of Interior has established 24-hour hotlines and email channels to receive reports regarding potential violations or crimes related to the upcoming presidential and vice-presidential elections.

These reporting channels are part of a broader effort by the Ministry to combat crimes against citizens' political rights and to ensure public order and security during the electoral process. The national hotline is available at 02/90 112 98, with an email address provided for electronic submissions. These channels will remain active until October 26, 2026, and will continue through November 2, 2026, if a runoff election is held.

Regional police departments, including those in Rousse and Haskovo, have also activated local contact methods to assist citizens in reporting election-related incidents directly to regional authorities.
