Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev pledges support for Iliana Yotova

Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev has confirmed his support for Iliana Yotova in the upcoming presidential elections. Radev announced his intention to participate in one of Yotova's pre-election events in Veliko Tarnovo.

Addressing the media, Radev also discussed the resignation of National Security Office Chief Emil Tonev and ongoing negotiations with the European Commission regarding the state budget. He defended the Council of Ministers against allegations of illegal electioneering after a press release supporting the Yotova-Kiril Valchev presidential ticket was published on the official government website. Radev maintained that the government's information work is intended to inform the public of the Prime Minister's positions.
