Bulgarian students participate in Manager for a Day initiative

Students across various regions in Bulgaria are participating in the 24th edition of the ‘Manager for a Day’ national initiative. The program aims to introduce young people to leadership responsibilities, teamwork, and decision-making processes by allowing them to shadow professionals in various roles.

In Ruse, 18-year-old Petar Georgiev stepped into the role of mayor, accompanying Mayor Pencho Milkov through his official duties and administrative meetings. Georgiev, who also serves on the Council of Children, noted the complexity of managing municipal affairs compared to school environments.

In Gabrovo, the initiative included participants across multiple educational levels. A six-year-old took on the role of head of a kindergarten, while seventh-grade students acted as school principals. Additionally, a 15-year-old student participated in the Gabrovo municipal administration as a deputy mayor, working alongside other youths to experience local government operations.
