Bulgarian tourists report 11,000 euro loss in reservation dispute

Dozens of tourists have reported being left without vacations and unreturned deposits following canceled property reservations in Bancko and along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The victims have formed a collective group and filed formal complaints with the police, the prosecutor's office, the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GDBOP), the National Revenue Agency (NAP), and the Commission for Consumer Protection.

According to the complainants, there are approximately 60 documented cases involving a total sum exceeding 11,000 euros. The disputes are linked to Maria and Tihomir Yordanov and companies managed by them. Victims claim they made reservations for properties and transferred advance deposits, which were not refunded after the trips were canceled.

One victim, Nadya Nedeva, reported that after paying a 265 euro deposit for a stay in Pomorie, she was notified just five days before her trip that the reservation was canceled due to ongoing legal proceedings. She stated that despite repeated inquiries, she has received no response regarding the return of her funds.
