Bulgarian volleyball coaches attend Erasmus+ seminar in Italy

Bulgarian volleyball coaches participating in an international Erasmus+ seminar in Cesena, Italy, attended a match between Lube Civitanova and Padova to observe the performance of brothers Aleksandar and Simeon Nikolov. Lube Civitanova secured a 3-0 victory (25:21, 25:15, 25:21), with Aleksandar Nikolov leading the scoring with 13 points and Simeon Nikolov contributing 7 points, including four aces and one block.

The seminar combines theoretical lectures with practical training sessions and match visits. The program includes practical sessions with club teams, such as Forli, and theoretical lectures during training sessions with elite club Consolini Volley. The curriculum is based on the methodologies of Marcello Abondanza, the head coach of the Bulgarian women's national team, focusing on defensive organization and the interaction between blocking and defense at both elite and youth levels.
