Bulgaria's AGKK releases public digital orthophoto map

The Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre (AGKK) has launched a digital orthophoto map providing public access to aerial imagery of the entire country. This new functionality, available through the agency's electronic services portal, allows users to compare cadastral data with actual terrain imagery to track changes over time.

The map includes recent data from aerial surveys conducted between 2023 and 2025, which were provided to the AGKK in March 2026. Users can also access archival mapping data from 2011, 2019, and 2022. The digital orthophoto map is created and updated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

This tool is intended to assist citizens, businesses, and state institutions in fields such as geodesy, land management, urban planning, and investment design. By enabling the comparison of images from different periods, the system aims to increase transparency and assist authorities in identifying discrepancies and monitoring land use changes.
