Bulgaria's CEC receives filings for 8 parties and 15 committees

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has received registration documents for eight political parties and 15 initiative committees to participate in the upcoming presidential and vice-presidential elections, scheduled for October 25, 2026.

The political parties that have submitted their documents include Vazrazhdane, Pravo, Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Bulgarian Social Democracy – Euroleвица, People's Party Truth and Only Truth, Moral, Unity, Honor, Velichie, and the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union.

Additionally, several initiative committees have filed to nominate independent candidates for president and vice-president, including candidates such as Lachezar Asparuhov Avramov, Ivaylo Drazhev Atanasov, Ivanka Velikova Tsvetanova-Petkova, Panayot Aleksandrov Kyuchukov, and others.
