Bulgaria's CEC sets overseas polling stations for presidential election
The Bulgarian Central Election Commission (CEC) has determined the locations and number of polling stations for Bulgarian citizens living abroad for the presidential elections scheduled for October 25.
The highest number of voting sections will be available in the United Kingdom (82), followed by Turkey (78), Germany (70), Spain (67), and the United States (44).
Certain locations remain conditional upon receiving permission from host authorities by October 22. This applies to sections in Italy and China, all sections outside diplomatic and consular offices in Norway, and a section in Leoben, Austria. In Germany, authorities have granted exceptional permission for sections outside diplomatic offices, but only at specific addresses.
In the Czech Republic, all three planned sections will be located within the embassy in Prague, as local authorities have restricted voting to diplomatic missions only. Due to low application numbers, no sections will be opened in certain Greek locations (Thassos and Chania) or in Ardachon, Spain. Additionally, no section will be opened in Saint Petersburg, Russia, due to security concerns and the lack of guaranteed permission from Russian authorities.
