Bulgaria's Central Election Commission receives presidential election filings

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has received registration documents from eight political parties and 27 initiative committees for the upcoming presidential and vice-presidential elections, scheduled for October 25.

The political parties that have submitted documentation include Vazrazhdane, Pravo, Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Bulgarian Social Democracy – Eurolevitsa, People's Party 'Truth and Only Truth', Moral Unity and Honor, Velichie, and the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union.

In addition to the parties, numerous initiative committees have filed to nominate independent presidential and vice-presidential candidate pairs. The deadline for submitting documents has passed, and the final list of all candidate pairs is expected to be clarified by September 22.
