Bulgaria's cities vie to host Eurovision 2027 after DARA's victory
Following DARA's winning performance at the Eurovision Song Contest, Bulgarian officials are positioning their cities to host the 2027 edition. Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov announced on Facebook that Burgas will pursue the hosting rights, pledging to deliver a "perfect" event. He highlighted the city's commitment and referenced DARA's inspirational story.
Sofia Mayor Vasyl Terziev also signaled the capital’s readiness, emphasizing Sofia’s existing infrastructure, experience with large‑scale events, and the economic boost a Eurovision host would bring. Terziev suggested the Arena Sofia as a likely venue and noted that the final decision will be made at the national level.
